We fell in love with the landscapes of the village Lisy (‘Foxes’), extensive agriculture, mosaics of fields, pastures, meadows, wet forests and swamps. Such places have almost completely disappeared from the map of Europe. ‘First of all – nature’ – this is the principle we follow every day. For years, we have been running an NGO dedicated to the protection of wild birds and our water resources. In ‘Mazurski Folwark’ all crops are fully natural, we use solar energy, we run a permaculture garden, we collect rainwater. Animals are safe and loved, there is no place for any violence. The nights are filled not with the noise of the city, but with the singing of the gray nightingale. The farm is located at the gates of the Borecka Forest, which is inhabited not only by bison, but also by such unique species as: eurasian three-toed woodpecker, lynx, hazel grouse, lesser spotted eagle and osprey.
